This site is dedicated to all the modern liners and cruise ships that are still in service today. First let me introduce myself my name is Onno Heesbeen and I was born in 1978 in Holland. As a graphic designer, and currently student at the Dutch Design Academy for industrial design I became interested in the futuristic advertising posters from A. M. Cassandre, think of the famous Normandie poster. A year a go the QE2 came tot the port of Amsterdam. And since my hobby is photography this was a excellent opportunity to make some pictures. This year I had several other cruise ships on my list that came to the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam.

There are many great sites on ocean liners, but there are few non-commercial sites on modern cruise ships. I felt the urge to do something about it, and here’s the result. On cruising the 21st century you can find several links under the category linking the web. Under the category wallpaper downloads you can find some nice backgrounds that I made and some banners for your own site. Under the main ship index you will find my pictures of the cruise ships.
